Appointed as lead landscape designers* for this landscape proposal for a public beach in Muscat, Oman, our brief was to activate the waterfront and create a new local destination. 

We proposed a series of zones connected with a fluid flowing boardwalk route, inspired by the movement of the waves on the beach. These zone were designed to be of different characters, based on key characteristics of the beautiful Omani coastline (Coastal Cliffs, Dunes, Coral Reef and Seascape). Each of the zones then had a different function, which included a dining/ restaurant area, amphitheatre, outdoor gym, play zone with skate park and family bbq zone. The design centred on providing a safe and inclusive family friendly public realm that would attract the wider public and bring revenue for the local community.
