We worked on the design and construction phases of this project whilst in a previous role*.  The Sighthill Regeneration masterplan project originated as a Glasgow’s bid for the 2020 Youth Olympics. Though Glasgow’s bid was unsuccessful, the project continued as a major regeneration project for the Sighthill area and the biggest such project outside London.

The project site was located to the immediate north of the M8 motorway, and bounded by railway lines to the west and Springburn Rd to the east. The major infrastructure was  challenge as the key objective of the masterplan was to create a connective and inclusive landscape.

We were involved* in the development of the landscape design for the park and woodland areas of the plan whilst being involved in day to day tasks for the project, and liaising with the design team.
