Scottish Borders Private Residence, UK

We have been appointed as landscape architects for the design of the grounds and assessment of the landscape impact of this new high quality  private house in the Scottish Borders.

The landscape has been designed to harmoniously integrate the architecture with its natural surroundings. The concept emphasizes organic movement through the space, with pathways and landscape designed to enhance the experience of the site. The garden is to include variety of formal and informal spaces to allow for different scale gatherings and activities and create both open and secluded zones. Proposed planting includes wildflower meadows, mixed perennial and structural planting and native and ornamental trees.

The design focuses on maintaining open views towards the wide open landscape whilst using appropriate screening for privacy and to mitigate any visual impact on the surroundings.
