In 2021 we were responsible for the design and planting of the Chelsea Flower Show tradestand for ArtFe, Scottish artists and blacksmiths. The design concept was to create the remains of a Scottish Highland hunting lodge, complete with grand old fireplace and armchair, which the landscape was slowly reclaiming.

The design reflected Artfe’s fun and anarchic ethos, with elements such as the industrial take on parquet flooring and flattened oil drums to form the walls. Ferns and ivies reclaim the building, whilst wildflowers, heathers and grasses evoke the highland landscape in the garden beyond. A group of highland cows formed a key corner feature in the garden, whilst paths leading into the space from two sides allowed visitor flow and interaction with the intricate detail of the artworks.

The tradestand was awarded 5 stars by the RHS.
